There's nothing wrong with binge-watching our favorite LGBTQ+ inclusive shows, but we want to make sure we're taking a break to make differences in other ways, too! Keep scrolling to get some ideas on other ways to get involved with the community.
VOLUNTEER YOUR TIME
There are plenty of LGBTQ+ focused organizations that could benefit from your time. Help run a Pride event, have a bake sale to raise money for an organization, or volunteer to operate a crisis hotline serving the LGBTQ+ community.
MAKE A DONATION
We know that not everyone has the means to donate money, and that is completely okay. But if you have some money to spare, a donation to one of your favorite LGBTQ+ organizations can go a long way.
START A LOCAL SUPPORT GROUP
Local support groups can be instrumental in helping the LGBTQ+ community, particularly youth and young adults. So why not start your own group? You could look into running it through a school, a church, a community center, or even just running it on your own and picking a local spot such as a coffee shot to hold the meetings.
